Abdullah Mostafa is an Egyptian documentary filmmaker, producer and journalist - based in Berlin.

With a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for human emotion, he has spent over 15 years crafting narratives that resonate with audiences worldwide.

His work has been featured on platforms like Al Jazeera Documentary, AJ+, Deutsche Welle, Voice of America, Netflix, ENTR, and the United Nations. Abdullah believes in the power of documentaries to shed light on untold stories and challenge perspectives.

He worked as a line producer on Hollywoodgate (2023), which premiered at the Venice Film Festival and Telluride Film Festival, nominated for the 2026 Emmys® and was shortlisted for the 2025 Oscars®. He produced The Children Behind Zalaga (2023), which premiered at the Film Festival della Lessinia in Italy, and won the FUTURE Award. He also directed and produced Double Vision (2016).

Currently, Abdullah is directing his first feature documentary, Song of the South, continuing his journey of bringing meaningful stories to life.
